The Moree Christian School Difference
Moree Christian School has been teaching children from a Christian foundation since 1984. It is a community where the child is educated holistically- academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
We are thrilled this year to celebrate 40 years of God’s goodness in our school being able to provide a Christian foundation for education in Moree. We value our community and look forward to celebrating with our students, families, and alumni.

For over 40 years at Moree Christian School, we have been equipping our students to live meaningful lives beyond school. However, the true indication of a school’s quality is not in its past but in how well its students respond to and live out the knowledge they have gained through the Christian education we provide.
We take pleasure in being a small school with a big heart that offers a caring atmosphere in which excellence of learning is achieved. 2026 is a significant year for Moree Christian School as we celebrate our first Year 12 cohort who will graduate at the end of this year.
In Psalm 111:10 it says: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. We need to establish our children on a firm foundation that will not change the rules to suit current trends and ideas. There is only one absolute truth and that is the truth found in the Word of God. God created us and therefore knows what we need to operate and function successfully. His Word is the manual that we can follow in order to live lives of purpose and meaning.
For this reason, all subjects are taught from a Biblical worldview. Students are encouraged to question and understand life and knowledge through the filter of God’s Word. In doing this, they learn about who God is and who they are in Christ. This is a sure foundation to teaching children to respond to and live out the knowledge they are taught at Moree Christian School.
We believe that education builds capacity and it is our team of highly qualified Christian teachers, in partnership with our parents, who bring this to life for each of our students. Our aim is for students to know what they believe and why – that their character is formed on the basis of our Christian beliefs and values. As we prepare our students for their future, we help them discover the type of purpose that ignites their desire to go out and make an impact on our world.

Governance
Moree Christian School is a member of Melos Education Limited. The Melos Education Limited Board provides the school’s governance. The day-to-day running of the school is delegated to the Moree Christian School Principal and is supported by the Melos Executive. This structure enables our school to continue to provide high-quality, distinctively Christian schooling for families in the Moree district. See the Melos Education website for more information.
The school is a member of Christian Schools Australia (CSA), a national association that provides support for the delivery of Christ centered educational excellence within Christian Schools throughout Australia. We are also a member of Independent Schools NSW.

Policies
At Moree Christian School we believe that policy is important in order to establish boundaries, guidelines and best practice for acceptable behaviour. The policies at MCS are based on Biblical principles and go hand in hand with our mission and vision statements below. These speak to the culture of our school and the norms and values we desire to instil at our school.
